Bringing Hope: Back to School Outreach with Victoria Church

On Saturday, July 26th, Cafe Con Dios had the privilege of joining the evangelism team of Victoria Church, led by Osmal and Ana Theis, for a special Back to School outreach in a low-income community near the Florida Mall in Orlando. This event was so much more than just handing out supplies—it was about bringing hope, sharing God’s love, and being present for families who need it most.

As we arrived, we witnessed the joy on children’s faces as they received backpacks, school supplies, t-shirts, and even ice cream. Alongside the practical gifts, each child and family was blessed through prayer and the message of salvation. It was a day filled with light, laughter, and the undeniable presence of God. For many of us, this community holds a special place in our hearts. When we first visited, we found families crowded into small studios, children left home alone while parents worked multiple jobs just to make ends meet. I’ll never forget the little boy, just seven years old, caring for his younger brother—the tears in his eyes as he accepted Jesus and our gentle reminder to stay safe.

Since then, our team has continued to pray and return, sowing seeds of faith and kindness. This time, we were amazed to see real transformation: newly renovated spaces, brighter faces, and a renewed sense of hope. Truly, when God’s presence enters a place, everything changes—old wounds are healed, new life begins, and entire communities are restored. We believe this is just the beginning of what God will do in Orlando, and we’re honored to play a small part.
